Safeguarding Adults and Children

This course introduces learners to the key principles of safeguarding and the responsibilities everyone has in keeping adults and children safe from harm, abuse, and neglect. It explores the signs and indicators of abuse, how to respond to concerns, and the difference between safeguarding and child protection.

Learners will also gain an understanding of legislation, reporting procedures, multi‑agency working, and how to promote a safe, person‑centred environment.

By the end of the course, learners will feel confident in recognising concerns early, taking appropriate action, and supporting individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion.
